Searching (2018)
The very first movie like Photocopier I was thinking about when making this list is Searching! Its story is good and with a new processing angle, or new directing point of view if you like.
The story is about a father looking for his missing daughter. Very simple right! Regardless, the directing choices are perfect and look like that of Photocopier.
So, if you loved Photocopier and looking for similar movies I guess this is definitely the one you are looking for. However, check out the other films on the list you may like someone else better!
Open Grave (2013)
I find that Open Grave is the closest example of a movie like Photocopier. His story is about a man who wakes up one day and finds himself in a hole full of dead bodies.
Moreover, this man has no memory what so ever, and is struggling to find out who is the killer of these bodies, is it someone he knows or not.
Gone Girl
One of David Fincher’s masterpieces, ” Gone Girl “. Very nice movie, I think it earned its way to this list, for he has the same vibe as Photocopier movie.
Ben Affleck on the role of Nick, is been hit by the tragedy of the disappearance of his wife. This incident is followed by a huge media scandal. So, will Nick be innocent or not?
Prisoners
Thirdly, we have the film Prisoners, directed by Denis Villeneuve, the same man that gave us Dune last year.
Prisoners are starring two of my favorite actors, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. The two of them gave an impeccable performance, in a movie with a good story to tell.
The story begins when Keller’s daughter goes missing, Keller decides to solve the problem on his own, not waiting for the police! Again this movie is similar to Photocopier movie, you may like it.
Changeling (2008)
Based on a true story, this movie takes the story of a woman, which her son went missing. However, the police did actually find a boy, but the mother has another saying on the subject, as she claims that the boy isn’t hers!
The movie was nominated for 55 nominations of which he won 14 of them.
Winter’s Bone (2010)
The movie takes the story of a girl from Ozark Mountain trying to pursue down her drug-dealing dad. in the meantime trying to keep her family unharmed.
Flightplan (2005)
Imagine a woman and her daughter were flying home from Germany to America. When reaching the height of 30000 feet, the girl vanished from the plane. Moreover, nobody wants to admit that the girl was on the plane, to begin with!
